A little new year's eve snow arrived this afternoon, and so Madeline and I decided to take advantage of it. After making a few dozen snowballs, we worked on a miniature snowman (making a life-size snowman would take more hours and snow than I care to count). He has no name or mouth but as you can see, he has a nice scarf and hat to keep him warm tonight as he celebrates the coming of 2010.
After creating an Iris sized snowman, Maddie took a photo with our little backyard tree we lit for the holidays. A little snow on the limbs makes the white lights look very festive.
2009 was a fun and challenging year for the Beerman family here in Dighton. Some days were easier than others and I know I speak for Jessie when I say: I hope Iris is done with hospital visits for a few years at least. We hope our friends and family enjoyed the last twelve months and we look forward to another great year with you all.
To those we see often and to the many we do not see nearly enough, we wish you a happy, healthy and fun filled new year. Prost!
